Season’s greetings animation

Captains is a full service Dutch production company focussed on storytelling. They picked up on my style and asked me to make a season’s greetings animation for one of their clients. Unfortunately, due to some corporate changes, the animation wasn’t used, but the subject allowed for some fun character design and storytelling. A farmer experiences trouble with his crops and calls Santaclaus for help. Santa has as ‘magical’ something to make the crops grow. The magical thing being the clients product of course…

In total three designs were made (each one for a different crop) The animation was set up to allow the crops to be turned on or off before rendering, without having to readdress the keyframe animation itself.
